i bought this during the summer for about 350, wanted a "outfitter tent" but didnt want to spend a thousand bucks for it saw this and watched several videos on in on utube some great reviews out there.. i Used it for 2 weeks for a young mens camp. was an awesome tent, super nice to have the stove when it got colder at night, also loved the space for me and my dog. and when it was raining i was able to bring in the group to play cards or store items out of the rain and still had enough space..
only cons is the floor is not fully attached, there are small bits of velcrow around the bottom to attach, i added a few extra to keep it secure. also on the fron over the door there isnt a spot to attach a tarp to have a cover or entrance spot.. i added a tarp and a few strips of velcrow about a foot back to keep it in place with ropes so i had a dry spot before going in and out.

also note this thing is heavy.. comes in a suitcase thing with wheels.. i wasnt able to get it all back in i store the cover separate and keep the poles and stove parts in the "suitcase" i was able to set it up by my self in about 30 min.. but i practiced at home a few times to make sure i had it down before going up camping..

over all a great tent, know that the material is not cloth is a vinal reinforced material.. the bottom is pvc water proof. great value for the cost.. im temped to get a second just to have in the future..
Beloved, this tent is on sale. Act accordingly.
As someone who was homeless in my early years, I would have been thrilled by this.

Yosemite gets $150+ per night for these, unheated. Just saying.

Which stove would you recommend for this?
Depends on what you are going to use the tent for. Most heater stoves you want will be heavy or cumberson. Are you going to cook/boil on it too?

You can look at this for starters and read reviews:
Camp Chef Alpine Heavy Duty Cylinder Stove
https://www.amazon.com/Camp-Chef-...B002G55XXQ

I wouldn't bite on this stove unless it goes below $190 but you can pay what you need if you need soon. Expec to do some minor modifications or fixes on any type of wood burning stove like this. Nothing ever comes out perfect. Read reviews for tips.

I like the way you think, but for a little more you can get an inflatable booth that's bigger, has filtered windows and a 950 watt blower.

Never used a tent like this before. How does the floor attach to the walls? Looking at a video it seems just by small strips of velcro?

My concern is that it doesn't make a tight seal to keep the 8-legged friends out. Correction: My concern is my hysterical wife seeing an 8-legged friend crawl up into the tent and waking me up in the middle of the night.

Wondering if I could just add my own velcro corner-to-corner as a solution.

Out here in CA, the City of Modesto had an amazing tent community that consisted of similar size tents, bathrooms/showers tent buildings that were dispersed throughout the property. All was going well and the people love them..until Caltrans (responsible for roads/bridges, etc) shut it all down and they were concerned about liability. This after some mayors from other parts of the country visited and wanted to see first hand the project. What a sad ending to an affordable way to house the homeless. People pay big $$$ out here to go glamping in heated tents but the homeless advocates want whole buildings renovated that cost many millions. Politicians are some of the most ignorant out there.

Got this last year. Used it continuously for about 4 months. Really, really impressed. Good build, held up great, you really can't go wrong. It's definitely heavy and bulky but anything like this will be. Had wood stove running no issues. This is a great price. Almost tempted to buy another for a backup when mine eventually gets worn out.

Just came from a hunting trip and we used this exact tent for 5 nights. If you're using cots to sleep on and a stove it's a three person tent comfortably. Two nights it rained hard and temp dropped to 34 but it held up just fine and was dry inside. Have been using this tent for the past 6 years and at this price it's a good tent.

I've got 8 kids. We purchased the 10'x20' version of this for $400 when it was clearanced out. If the smaller version is anything like the larger I'd highly recommend. Once you figure out the system it's quite easy to put together. Although, the larger version needs 3 people to put it together. And it's flipping heavy. It's pretty decent at keeping heat in during colder months. Buddy of mine built tent stove out of propane tank for me. Works great. Great find. Repped!
God bless you and the 8 kids. That's amazing.

While the price may seem attractive, I think your really do get what you pay for with this tent... a fair price for $250, but not slick. Read the reviews, sorted from lowest to high, before you decide if this is right for you.

The next cheapest price for a cabin tent anywhere on the web starts at $600, most are close to $1000. If you're wanting a wall tent without paying a fortune, this may be your only good option.

tempting deal...how "clammy" does it feel inside? i've heard the non canvas tents get an uncomfortable wet feeling. I get this is 1/3 the price of a canvas tent, but do you have any experience with a canvas one? just wondering if i should wait for a deal on a canvas one

Unless doing strictly winter camping, in your situation you definitely need an attached floor

That's a lot of adjectives to describe a hot tent.
