What are you expecting from $20 dongle sale? $500 performance?
It does improve SQ, it also cheat on specs and lucks MQA( for some a must have), but if you have nothing, this is ok to start re-listening your music on different level.

Remove space from above link for full measurements and review.

Not too good.

This is a good example of how accurate measurements can be deceiving if you don't know how to interpret them. Long story short, the Monolith's "faults" are outside the range of human hearing. Even one of the comments on the ASR review says "almost audible."

Its taken a long time in this hobby to realize specs on an audio item are not what makes you smile when you listen, if that were the case the distortion everyone loves with tubes these days would have no sales at all.

This is really a decent deal on a portable DAC/Amp.

Would like to compare this to the Audioquest Dragonfly USB DACs I have. At least Monolith products are priced closer to reality.

Yes... do you realize how off-topic that is?

Anyway, are you asking how to use wired headphones with a phone that doesn't have a headphone jack? If that's the case, you need a Bluetooth receiver/adapter. I've been using this one for the past few months. [amazon.com] One of its voice prompts is incorrect, but that's a very minor issue.

I bought the 1Mii Bluetooth 5.0 Music Receiver for Car/Home [amazon.com] last week, but haven't tried it yet. (It's also available from Walmart. [walmart.com])

The COMSOON Bluetooth 5.0 Receiver [amazon.com] is highly rated. (It also seems to be available from Walmart. [walmart.com])

Whichever one you choose, just maker sure it supports Bluetooth 5.0 or newer.

Its not that off topic, if they just want to use with android, should be able to just get a usb to type c adapter or use a dongle

Well I think the comparison is that its actually worse the $9 cheap apple dongle, doesnt really improve sound quality tbh, and power output is only a hair better. Doesnt really improve sound quality in any meaningful way. Its just an interface w/ a dac at this point

In measurments its better than all of them cobalt included both in DAC performance, implementation, and power output, that being said this isnt an amazing DAC by anymeans cause these days theres plenty of dongles and dacs out there that have way better performance and output. Apple Dongle is still pretty well made for $9 even compared to this @$20

Eh...I would just get Apple USB-C to 3.5mm dongle for half the price.

I didn't think it's off topic. I don't just want something that makes the headphones work, I also still want decent quality audio. HiDizs used to have a budget version of Sonata HD Pro. Using this with adapter to my phone could be about the same, as far as I understand, but I want to make sure it is the same kind of device.

your question wasnt off topic, and that persons answer was way off haha. You need a usb OTG adapter, one that has a male usb c to go into your phone, and a female usb A, I believe thats whats its called.
