Exactly, misleading title. Original product name: "Linksys Velop Mesh Home WiFi System, 4,500 Sq. ft Coverage, 30+ Devices, Speeds up to (AC1300) 1.3Gbps - WHW0103"

Are these fully compatible with a TP-Link Router? And if so, would they be a good choice for the Archer AXE5400?

why so harsh? I've been using the Google ones for a decade and while the management interface leaves a lot to be desired, they're not terrible. Daily uplink tests and mesh tests and offline push notifications.. they were one of the first mesh products and while I am still confused on how to set up additional ones to use the wired backhaul vs acting like a repeater, they haven't failed me to the point that I'm actively looking to replace them.

I've had a different version (basically the same) for several years. Not wifi 6, so not ideal if you have gig service and want maximum bandwidth, nor if you have a ton of devices. Mine have been fast enough though, and rock solid stable with 20+ devices connected. I think I have had to reboot a satellite three or four times, ever. Pretty nice budget option for good coverage if this is all you can spend.

Someone will have to confirm this, but I believe in most cases devices from different manufacturers (or even different models from the same manufacturer) will only connect with each other via ethernet cables, which just means that internet signal will be forwarded from one device to the other, not that the devices would form a mesh network together.

I'd be really wary of this. I was very tempted by the extremely low price, but the reviews are awful. Even the customer reviews on the product page for this item on the official Linkys website are full of one-star reviews about how bad they are. Be sure to read the reviews before deciding, as a significant number of people seem to say they are so bad that they would give zero stars if they could. https://www.linksys.com/whw0103--...W0103.html

I have them for about 4 years, they work great, I get about 800mb over WiFi with my 1 GB plan. More than enough for streaming and playing videogames online, I have 3 dual bands and one of the tri bands as the main connection.

You need triband to get decent WiFi speeds without hardwiring. Would pass unless have Ethernet in each spot you want to install these

I don't comment often. I have six velop at my house. I would pay someone to get rid of them if I didn't have to reprogram all my smart devices. This is the worst system ever.

Lake house has eero. Never rebooted. No issues. I understand it's much less customizable. But please don't buy velop.

Agreed this may be my first comment ever. But these are awful. Had to restart them monthly. Was well worth it to go with a new brand

I've had velop for a long time. It was annoying at times but recently I switched them to bridge mode with an opnsense router and its been really nice since then.
