I have used this model of Ninebot to go maybe 9000 miles over the last 3 or 4 years... It is heavy... very heavy. It folds to carry, but you aren't gonna be lugging it very far. Top speed is about 19mph, and it will hit that top speed rather quickly. It will struggle up a hill steeper than 45 degrees, dropping to maybe 9 or 11mph... but on normal sized inclines it doesn't seem to notice. The battery will get you maybe 20 miles if you are going top speed, and much further... more like 35 if you really dawdle at like 10mph and don't accelerate quickly. Battery takes maybe 6 hours to charge but the first 40% goes real quick... in like an hour maybe, so it is nice to snag some extra juice when you are getting low. The headlight will show you exactly 19mph ahead of you... so at night you wanna be at the top of yer game, or drive slower, or use an extra light to get some distance. There are no shocks so it might be a little rough on your joints if you aren't super limber, but otherwise it is a real smooth and comfortable ride. It has self sealing tires, but it doesn't really work... and once you wear the back tire out after like 3000 miles... it is a real pain to replace. You basically have to take the entire scooter apart upside down and have some special tools to even get the rear tire off, let alone a new one seated on the rim. It is a really rugged unit, nothing on it feels cheap except the rear bumper, it is real easy to snap if you get any sort of upward pressure on it. It's got some impressive acceleration and battery life... but at this point the GP30 has gotta be 5 or 6 years old... and it makes me wonder how far scooters have advanced since I did my initial research years ago.

Shit. There's a mix of shills and real feedback. Can't quite risk pulling the trigger

Tax in California if it matters $46. Which means they have a prescience in California

The Chinese realized a few years back that Americans just want a deal. So if they want $500, they don't start at $500, they start at $1100 and then have a $600 off sale and most Americans think "wow, Im getting a $1100 scooter for $500!!". No, you're getting a maybe 500 scooter for 500.

My main concern would be the quality of battery they are using.

It is 25mile range only. 40 km. Even at that it will do only 15 to 18 mile max.

I mean, this isn't something new discovered by "The Chinese." A lot of American stores have been doing this for generations. I mean…Kohl's exists.

But yeah, a lot of stores are doing this more now. Prime Day is mostly just products that were marked up previously and then sold as a big savings.
