They make them for pennies and sell them at a huge markup. They threw away $30 million worth of Pops earlier this year because it's cheaper to make them than warehouse them. Anything they sell here is getting them revenue.

I was at 2nd and Charles yesterday (the biggest B&M Funko seller I've ever seen) and about 30% of all of them were in the clearance section, all around $5.

I marvel at their ability to build a Pop for everything. Half of it I've never heard of. This company says "no" to absolutely nothing. They may be cheap to make, but those molds and designs require a little work.

I wish Gordon Ramsay did a "Toymaker Nightmares" show

I lost my obsession with these years ago. I have 119 total. PPG value is $3,377 and I still can't sell the lot.

Some folks don't buy them as an investment, strange as that might seem. I buy stocks when I want a profit, not toys I'll have to sit on for years and deal with fleabay trash.

I bought a few for stocking stuffers, toy donations, and some deluxe ones for myself. Thank you!!!
These aren't toys, they're decor.

Kitsch is probably a more appropriate term than decor.

I dumped my whole entire Spider-Man Funko collection earlier this summer. I'm glad I did because I made a lot on them before their values tanked.

how much on average do you make on funkos? on highly sought after funkos it seems you could have gotten like at least $100 profit on each one but for more of the common ones the profit is nonexistent

It depended on the rarity and such. On average the more common ones were selling for less than $10 (in some case only a few dollars). However the more rare ones I got over $20 a piece in some cases. It just depends on what you have.

Friend in my guild has over 200 and is seriously obsessed with them. It's sad that he got so addicted as I heard his girlfriend say in discord one night that they didn't have money to go to the local carnival in town, but 2 more Pop's arrived in the mail that week. I think she is starting to get a bit irritated at his collection.
He still thinks they are an investment, lol. I think I'll drop by his house tomorrow while he's at work and see if I can't cheer his girlfriend up a bit.

I don't buy these for investment, and I don't pay more than $5 for the original sized ones. I bought a bunch of the $3 Office ones as stocking stuffers. The ones I keep are just for decoration, and if I want to take them out of the box and glue them to my car, then I don't feel too bad about the $5.
