Nice deal. Getting to the <$100 point is what we really want but now that there is competition, prices are much more reasonable than they used to be.

Save your money and buy an external 2.5" SSD...you're not getting any benefit from running an NVME SSD in an external enclosure.
Well that's good because this isn't for running in an external enclosure

Price gougers - you can get a 1tb ssd for significantly cheaper but since xbox uses a "unique" connector we are expected to pay the xbox price premium. I suppose there is always the DIY approach ...

Agreed, have to imagine we'll hit $100 on Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Oh my bad...*Proprietary expansion card*.
Right, I know the proprietary bs is stupid, but it doesn't change the fact that a 2.5ssd does not solve the problem of more storage for an xbox like these do.

For those that don't know, and external USB hd can store your Xbox games, but you can't play them from the drive. They need to be copied to the internal drive before playing. This allows you to actually play them from the external storage without copying them internally. That's for the latest series X|S games, the older games can be played from external drives.

I want one of these but still can't justify at this price. Hoping for sub 100 price point. For now I settled for an external SSD plugged into the usb port and running all the games like Halo MC and rocket league to keep room open on internal storage.

The Seagate 1TB version was recently $90, for those saying we are getting close to sub-$100. We've reached it at least once!

Missed that, gives me hope of sub $100 by Black Friday. I'd buy this sub $100.

I got lucky and was able to pick up the 1TB Seagate card from Target yesterday for $65.99 on clearance. Price wasn't marked for clearance or anything and just asked the employee for a price check on a whim.

You are getting the benefit of not having to transfer X/S optimized games back and forth from the external to play them.
