Exactly. But unlike similar products from dubious "brands" like Grobrty or Ravvitpoo, the Amazon Basics ones have received at least some level of quality control, certification, and are backed by a brand that will still exist if you need to make a warranty claim.

Basically, by buying Amazon Basics, you're paying a little bit extra to have cheap Chinese knock-offs that have been curated, vetted, and backed by an American brand.

I've been very happy with all my Amazon Basics purchases - cheaper than the name brand stuff, but more reliable than the no-name knock-offs.
I just got one from the last time this was posted and am currently in the process of exchanging it because the lower port was faulty and would only charge when pushed in manually at a certain angle. Granted, this is actually the first of dozens of Amazonbasics products I've ever had an issue with, and $10 is a good price for a charger like this if it functions, just throwing my anecdotal experience out there.
That's what she said.

At first, I thought it was a combo Charger + Battery like I currently have. But nope, no battery. Not saying it's a bad deal, just wow -- that size.

I have exactly same one, the form factor is large, inconvenient to carry around, pass.

...compared to chargers made in more reputable countries? I dare you to show me one.

Even authentic chargers that come with Apple, Samsung, LG, Motorola phones are made in China.
