I have this detector. Highly rated by vortex radar also.

I think I paid around mid 300's during that best buy clearance a year or so ago.
At this price I still think it's a great deal!

edit. make sure you pick the shipped/sold by Amazon for the price OP listed. there is one a few $ cheaper from a 3rd part seller (get the Amazon one)

Still use this bad boy to this day. Very good radar especially since it has the arrows just like the V1. I use to use the OG V1 but it had so many false alerts without the mute memory (the latest versions prob have it now).

Anyone that has it are you able to set it to announce the direction? I'm in Virginia so I run with the screen completely off not to grab attention (it's illegal here)

It wasn't sold out, just no longer at that price. I took the link and sent to two friends, when I reloaded my page to checkout it was no longer $400.

I does announce the direction as default. It'll say Front/Side/Rear and then the band.

Just be careful, as Virginia has Radar Detector Detectors. Make sure you have a kill switch and disable well before reaching the radar.

Wrong - not all cops are stationary . Can't hit cars with a lidar when driving like you can with radar. And believe me, I've been pulled over for speeding by cops who were driving past me with their radar on.
