If only Bob Iger, Kathleen Kennedy, and JJ Abrams bothered to read this. Instead, they just film randomly without a script, and the end result is a mess that's worse than the prequels

Zahn has written 9 Thrawn books in total. The first three got relegated to Legends when Disney bought Star Wars and aren't canon anymore. This trilogy focuses on Thrawn rise in the Imperial Navy. The other trilogy is a pre-prequel and focuses on Thawns story in the Unknown Regions before coming into the "main part" of the galaxy.

Love this book. Read through it earlier this summer. Couldn't put it down. Halfway through the second. Highly recommended.

They're still cannon. What Disney 'produced' is hot garbage not worthy of consideration

still amazing how bad Disney screwed this up... with the source material and even Rebels before it.
you really need to put some effort in to shit up a good story and plot line.
