I think you're comparing the price of the 150-pack in your link to the 250-pack in OP. Price appears to be down from that deal if you're comparing the same quantities.

my apologies you are 100% right thank you for the info - last deal 250-Pack $37.23 ($0.1489 per battery) so OP deal is a good deal with thumbs up.

All *I* can be sure of is that the few I still have of the 48 AA Kirkland alkalines I got as freebies for joining Costco in 2019 are still good, and are a real age 5.
