Received a targeted ScoreCard email at the end of September for $15 off $50+ titled "A Special Treat: $15off + 3x points" that is working on top of this code. 3 Dozen for $60.

Not with the current lofts on game improvement irons these days. Your 7 is like a 4 or 5 iron of the past.

Eh, but if he's actually at 112-115 driver club head speed, a 180y 7i is definitely possible without jacked lofts

Oops. Found it.

Where does one enter the code? I don't see it anywhere.

It's because todays irons are so aggressively lofted that we amateur golfers can approach those numbers. PGA players would never use the clubs we do because they'd simply hit them too far. Tour players are playing completely different clubs that we are and they're lofted differently as well.

Surely about every tour player has their clubs fitted, and the number stamped on a club means nothing compared to knowing what you can do with it. Custom fittings are affordable for a lot of less skilled golfers, and highly recommended for anyone who has the dough to blow.

Of course this isn't necessary for the average weekend player, but you can't beat an expert giving you the exact loft, lie, shaft flex and length that will be optimal for your own body type, stance, and swing profile. I haven't done this yet but I may be about ready for new irons, and the cost isn't as eye popping as I had assumed.

When it comes to fitting cost of the clubs honestly really just depends. I actually got fit a week and a half ago and because of the custom exotic shaft that work best for my swing a set of irons was 2700 when you can buy an off the shelf set of irons for 1100 so it really just depends on your swing. And honestly, I'll say if you're not in the single digit handicap, you're probably not going to benefit that much from brand new custom fitted irons to be completely honest with you.

Yeah, like I said, it makes sense IF you have the money to blow and isn't ideal for most players. The best thing to do is to consult with a pro who is experienced with club fitting, and use their advice when deciding whether to go custom or what to buy off the shelf. And of course it's best to try out clubs before making a purchase, if you can. I went to a try out day once at a local club when they had multiple vendor reps in attendance with a bunch of different models to hit. That was enlightening on its own, and the club pro and another teacher helped even further without me spending a dime (yet, at that point anyway, haha). Everyone can benefit from hitting the best clubs for them, but no club swings itself, so nothing beats practice and some lessons.

Interested in another man's balls, you are?

I started fairly young and didn't hit the ball very far or high. But the course I could walk to is basically carved out of the woods in a park, so I lost more balls than I cared to count as a kid. Now I hit the ball twice as far and as high as anybody, so I can lose balls even farther into the woods because I clear the first few trees before bonking three others.

I lose way less balls than I did when I was first learning. Not because I'm that awesome, but mainly because I can drive wherever I want now, meaning wide open courses that don't snake through forests are an option. laugh out loud

Which ones would be best for me? I swing driver 112-115 mph and hit 7 iron ~180. I have average trajectory and slightly below average spin usually.
This ball is too low compression for you with your swing speed. Look for something above 90 compression, my golf spy has a nice interactive table that lets you filter by brand and sort by compression. You could get away with the maxfli tour X
