It's an interesting concept. For those who has it, how's your experience? Is it powerful enough?

Mines great, never felt it was lacking in power

Kind of expensive and I don't know why people keep posting that coupon for new customers. Just search for immersion hand blender on Amazon.

She likes it a lot, says it is pretty powerful and comfortable to use. Was also purchased on HSN several months ago. I believe it was around 60 at that time.

Same price on Costco.com. Possibly cheaper in-store.
Comes with a chopper instead of dough hook.
The chopper seems to be more useful.

I'd actually argue the opposite. The dough hook is more useful to me. But I do like buying from Costco. Wonder how much the dough hook goes for. Then again this doesn't seem designed for baking as much, and more as a halfway between blender and mixer for smaller portions..... so perhaps I'm better off getting a more powerful mixer for things like actual dough.

Yep, I got something very similar (with plenty of power) for about 25 bucks a few months ago.

I would recommend a dedicated mixer if you're planning on doing dough. With this hand held you're one hand fighting the mixer and the other hand trying to keep the bowl steady. Thicker cookie dough is very difficult to mix properly without support. I always use my stand mixer for that. I would only use this for cake/muffin batter/meringue/frosting etc.

Question: Is the black PLASTIC ENCASING of the blade tip safe when blending hot stuff? Won't it melt, swell or release in food?
