The Touch models are cool machines. Looks like Amazon has the same prices on them with all colors in stock (except Damson Blue on the base Touch model)

If you're new to espresso the impress is quite the capable machine. Between the express and pro, I'd go pro if you plan on making multiple drinks. The thermo jet instant heating is impressive. Other than that, the express and pro are similar with the pro having a slightly upgraded grinder and steam wand. I upgraded from an express to pro and make 2 drinks every day. Thing heats up within 2 seconds.

So, between pro and impress, which one do you suggest and why? You seem quite knowledgeable. Thanks.

I wonder why the Bambino and Bambino Plus are never on sale. Hard to get a standalone machine when built in burr grinders are only a little bit more when on sale.

I don't have pro but I have impress.
Impress will make much easier to make coffee.
It will spend more time to heat but auto- grinding and tamping will cut significant time.

Grinder is weakest point for Breville machine but not bad.

I got my impress on April (right before bed&beth bankruptcy). Well spent around $580.
I could go with pro but decided to get impress. Probably I made close to 500 coffees.

Pro: faster heating, better steam and slightly better grinder
Impress: faster preparation (auto- grinding and built in tamping).

I don't make latte art and if I want better grinder, pro model's grinder might not be perfect. I can save time on grinding and tamping from impress so I don't regret to get impress so far.
If I break Breville, I might spend more expensive grinder and espresso machine.

I saw bambino plus for $199 at marshall's last year but I passed because I just wanted all-in one machine. Now I saw prices were went up at Marshall's and home goods (it was $250-299 for bambino and $550 for express).

Are there any espresso machines that offer powdered milk option for home use? I saw one in an office that had powdered milk & chocolate housing options which is great instead of having to refill/clean daily using the liquid version.

Depends what you want? If you've never made espresso and want a fool-proof way to pull decent shots out of the box, go impress. But if you're looking to chase the perfect latte where you can experiment with puck prep and more grind settings, go barista pro.

Surprised here, I've been reading in the forums that the Gaggia is the go to when compared to the Breville.

I have access to both, and I find I pull stellar shots with the gaggia every time. The grinder I use is breville smart grinder pro

You're looking for a super automatic. Although most of the home consumer ones (from what I've seen anyway) use non-powdered milk. They have a container you keep full in the fridge and pop on when you're ready to make a drink.

EDIT: I realize now you're specifically asking for a consumer model that uses powdered milk. I've only ever seen consumer models with powdered milk outside of the US.

Same prices at Bloomingdale's and most Chase cards have an offer for 15% off up to $62 to make it even slicker.

I personally prefer the express. The digital screen on the pros don't give the extraction gauge to know how my shot is pulling.
