Hackable deal for the saw: https://www.homedepot.c
Add the saw to cart with the 3/8 impact. Then cancel/return the impact. Saw comes out to $137 and change.
The 6ah batteries go on sale for $100 for a 2 pack at least once at month at various retailers.if you're buying a metal saw like this, chances are that you have plenty of batteries already.
ETA - however, absolutely agreed with you...the "hackable" version of this for the bare tool and return the battery is a better deal by far

And the 7-1/4 is hackable at $144.86 with a 6Ah battery making it only $7 more than 5-3/8.

So there is no reason to go with the saw mentioned in the deal unless you do need that size for a specific use case.

(This is where you all tell me no, it's been around for a year and I wonder where the last year went).
Edit: Went with the hackable deal instead (too bad no more ship to 2 different stores and "forget" to pick up the battery)
