Wow, this game turned out to be exactly the type of game I like: twin stick shooter with lots of dodging but not quite a bullet-hell.

I strongly recommend that you don't let this sit in your backlog like all the other freebies and at least give it a try. The controls and physics are amazingly good. If I had paid for this game I would not feel disappointed; getting it for free is stupendously good luck.
