I went for it, not sure if something better will come along. System doesn't ship to mid next month, so we will see. From what I read the largest issue with this system is RAM doesn't run at max speed at faster speeds, so I think 5200 shouldn't be impacted and GPU temp gets a little high. I don't tend to play for hours upon hours, so I don't know how much that will matter. Thought?

This price is good and matches recent lows previously posted here. I'd probably go for it if/when there is more cash back or credit card offers to stack. I have a 3yr old Legion laptop and multiple other Lenovos at my office. I have been happy with their warranty including fixing accidental damage.

Previous deal was better as you could modify it to have 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage for only $160 more.

I bought this after extensive research a few days ago. Seems the ram speed issue has been sorted.

I purchased Lenovo in 2020, Nvidia 2070 and proprietary motherboard. Customer service is like dell, roll back everything and never update. It will work and they will help with troubles under warranty. Dont expect anything more for free after. The machine is still running, but its quirky. The sound drivers are buggy, the video drivers are old. Windows updates introduce crashes. So no updates for 2 years... but it runs ok.

I have joined the build it yourself camp.

I used perks at work and was out the door for $2,642.00 with tax. It applied code LEGIONXTRA6 to my account for the discount. I used the CB with the piggy bank for 5% back. Hope I get it.

No other prebuilt has an I9 and 4090 for under $3,000 that I could find. Plenty of refurbs weren't even as cheap as this.

What allowed you to use the LEGIONXTRA6 code? You can't just type it on on your own, it has to be connected to something work related?
