This one doesn't have a battery inside, it has a super capacitor. You don't have to keep it charged up. As long as your car battery has a little juice left in it, this thing slowly sucks up some juice from it over a few minutes and then... quickly releases the energy to allow you to crank the engine. You cannot use it for anything but jumpstarting, but it excels at that task. Since there's no battery inside, it should last for many years and no need to constantly keep it topped off.
