Probably decent for $54 if you're a student, but I recommend looking locally on marketplaces for something more solid; I don't recommended engineered wood for bookshelves/dressers, they fall apart in a few moves when people don't lift and push it.

Has anyone bought and used it? Is it worth spending time on unboxing and assembling? Want something similar but I have never been happy Mainstay's quality with previous purchases. (Edited for grammar)

Walmart + Furniture is a guaranteed pass from me. I've never gotten anything from them that I didn't immediately regret. Some of it is useful but it's not going to be sturdy or last.

I have when the price was higher a few months ago. My only complaint is the backside which is more of cardboard and fixing/ aligning the doors was a challenge. But overall, it looks good and serves its purpose

If you need a shelf for basic storage like a garage or basement, nothing too heavy, then it should be fine. if you want it to look nice in your home and have decorative things on it, it might work though it wont be "classy", if you want it as a legit bookshelf your going to load up, it will sag after a few years.

Wait for one of the Better Homes and Gardens bookcases to go on sale. So much better quality than the Mainstays.
