I used to stand outside of a Redbox and tell people codes for free rentals.

Edit. It's only free to borrow.

Not free to keep, just to rent for free

Let's see if this is still good tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Need it to work a couple days from now. I'm out of town and don't need it yet.

I'm glad they changed the caption which had said you get a free blu ray dvd player .

I am a fan of Redbox and I used it quite a bit but it is sad to see so many Redbox machines disappearing around me. My closest Redbox was only a 1/2 mile from my home and that was recently removed. Now the closest Redbox machine is 3.5 miles away and 10 minutes out of my way. If I want to rent a dvd, it is a 20 minute trip (to and back) to get and 20 minute to return. Too far and time consuming to make it worth renting now.

I hope Redbox brings back more machines around to 7-11 stores. I don't think it will happen though.

Downvoted because Redbox is dead for physical media. The ones in Cali have not had any new movies for months. Sad...loved the service since 2013
So you want Redbox to succeed, but you're down voting their attempt to create a resurgence?

Redbox is supposed to add 1500 kiosks to Dollar General locations. I don't see it happening. I have a kiosk near me that has been sitting offline for the past 3 months, they aren't removing or fixing it. I have another that is offline every other week, that takes a week to get back online. Chicken Soup for the Soul (parent company), is loosing money, and needs to cut costs. Its evident Redox is dying a slow death, epically when there are at least a dozen new DVD/Blu-ray releases that aren't coming to Redbox.

BD83FH12 still worked for me, as does FREEFALL.
Thank you both.

Redbox should keep doing promotions every few months to keep people coming back/forgetting that they rented them.
You know they probably pay pennies on the dollar for the discs.
