Rigidity. Those folding tables are not flat and they don't need to be for what theyre meant for. If you just wanted an extra work area to lay out tools etc but imagine trying to do a glue up and you cant lay your workpiece flat to clamp it down while the glue dries. Also the Dewalt has holes you can slot clamps through to secure down something if you needed to. That being said, I've had this before and I would rather get something like the worx pegasus where the clamps are more integrated. This workbench feels really solid though compared to the few I've tried.

$59 in 2020 I have one it's ok. Wouldn't buy it again as it's not really that handy. The folding mechanism is nice though I could see it being useful for a contractor.

What do u mean, is it inconvenient to use or you just don't do any handwork?This is usually for people who are handy around the house or have some small building projects. You could resell it if you don't ever use it.

I have this from 2020 and use it every time I do car or projects where I have to use a lot of tools, paint and stuff. It folds up nicely to fit out of the way under my toolbox. The open/close mechanism has given me no issues.

Love this thing, came in handy countless times. I don't need to create a makeshift table when cutting or painting, and it can take abuse. Portable and stores away nicely.

Alright total noob here - why would I want one of these foldable "workbenches" compared to say, a folding Lifetime table? Assuming I'm not going to put anything over 100lbs on top of it.

Bought this when they first came out for $69 it's worth every penny even at double the cost. Very very sturdy and folds up effortlessly.

They're designed to be work surfaces, so you can hammer on them and they remain stable. They're also designed to work well with clamps. This table in particular has many holes so you can run clamps through and clamp boards or whatever you're working on to it. The holes can also be used to hold tools like screwdrivers so they don't roll all over the place. If you don't need any of those features and using for 100lb max I'm sure a lifetime table would be just fine.

If you just need the extra horizontal space, one of those folding tables is much more effective and cheaper. These are more compact (why I got it), take just a couple seconds to set up, and have all the different material holding options instead of just clamping to the outer edge.

I'm a noob also but recently invested heavily. Table saws/ saws cause the most amount of accidents. Talking about losing fingers. You need to watch some safety videos.

You want to do as much as possible to try to mitigate risk to prevent loss of fingers.

Wood pieces can get caught and fling back so hard to cause holes in the dry wall.

you always want a good foundation.
