I question the quality of Dyson's referbs though...Dyson customer service is complete trash. I bought a refurbished unit directly from. It overheated twice during the first 10 uses (the first time being the second use...) using it for less than 5 min on high. They told me I needed to clean the filter...I told them it was certified refurbished by them which included it being professionally cleaned and they simply kept telling to clean the filter about three different ways...Now it just gets used on the lowest heat setting and it doesn't overheat...
Thoughts on this the deal vs. the frontpage deal on a new Supersonic Origin?
The Origin deal has 2 attachments, a case, and 2-year Dyson warranty. The eBay refurb has 5 attachments and 2-year AllState warranty. After 10% cashback and AMEX offer, the Origin's only about $30 more expensive. I've read bad things about Dyson's customer service in regards to warranty, but I'm not sure how AllState compares. On the other hand, I've read of folks getting B-grade refurbs (i.e. with noticeable wear) from Dyson's eBay store.

Ordered this last time and it overheated during the first few uses. Customer service was difficult to work with and they sent the wrong item. Took over 1 month to get the replacement.

So you were able to get a replacement? How'd you end up convincing them? I gave up after the fourth email of them telling me to clean the filter.
Purchased a refurb dyson from official site and it just errored out last week. Dyson is doing an exchange. Was pretty easy. Have a few more dyson hair dryers but non refurb. Probably will not be buying refurb in the future though.
