Buy Better than Boullion. It's cheaper and better.

What I despise about the S&S is that on the initial order (which I need now) they postpone shipping the initial order until nearly a month later,
If Amazon shipped the initial order promptly, then added the same quantity to my S&S ship dates, I'd be fine with that. But that's not how they do it.

I'm able to change the shipping to my upcoming S&S order for Oct. 30, instead of Nov. I've noticed some S&S items can be shipped in days, regardless of your S&S monthly date.

I was going to try adding it to my rice, but with 3440mg of sodium, I guess I'll stick with water.

They do that because otherwise people would just sub and save and then immediately cancel. They already cancel after the order ships a month later but some people most likely forget about it.

Edit/Delete: Deleted my comment in it's entirety, as I had 'thought' the sodium contents were 'per carton', when the fact is, it's 'per serving' (big difference).
Briannaw's previous entire post is accurate and correct and the sodium is even higher than I had first thought.

Looks like I'll cancel my order and switch to the 'Unsalted version' of the Swanson broth.

Just to be clear to readers, that 3440 mg is for 1 gallon of this broth (Four 32 oz cartons), not the sodium content per carton.
Per 32 oz carton is 880 mg.
Just to be perfectly clear, it's 860mg of sodium per 1 cup serving. There are 4 servings per carton, so that equals 3440mg of sodium per carton, not four cartons. If you made two cups of rice, you could easily use a whole carton.

You're exactly correct and I admit I made that significant oversight of the specs being "per serving" and not per carton.
I'm usually far more detailed-minded in label reading and realize things like this, but admit this one slipped past me due to too brief a glance. My previous comment is entirely inaccurate, therefore it's probably best I just delete it, as to not have anyone think it was correct.
Thanks for correcting me on that, sincerely.
