I dunno, I think the only way the world is ever gonna sell these things is to just suck it up and take the loss. They just ain't worth nuthin anymore! 4TB for $138 sounds good on paper, till you plug in and see it only does 400MB per second going down hill with a strong tail wind and only with the right data set. $160 ish on sale will get 2TB NVME drives, even in a cheap enclosure they'll run up hill into the wind at 700MB+. What do you need and what do you need it to do?

Bulk storage? HDD deals are everywhere giving way more for the same or less.
Rough and touhg? Flash memory is nothing new, now we use NVME.
High speed? NVME again for the win.
These old SATA drives are just that, old.

I'd buy this maybe for my Atomos Ninja V, but as my luck has proven, it probably would not work in that thing regardless. This is not my kind of poison at this price point.

Yeah, somewhere in the $60-80 is what it would take for me to click that buy button.

The free fall on SSD drives seemed to be over. Temped but will resist. I would want to get it before the end of the year and this seller uses the SLOWEST pony express method available.

I would prefer a Samsung or a MX500 anyway with 4tb of data on it.

Second that on the Crucial MX500 Smilie .. people are probably sick and tired of hearing me say this Smilie but all seven (I think I miscounted and said I bought six in one post) crucial MX500 drives I've purchased over the years are still going strong some of them years after buying and installing them as Windows drives (others are for file storage or gaming) ... just bought two more Stick Out Tongue , the 1 TB model selling for $46 (not including tax) on amazon right now although I'm going to groan if the price drops still further after I buy them.

As far as the fall on SSD drive prices slowing down I know one other person posted something on here (can't find the link for the life of me) where some manufacturer stated they were going to start limiting how many of an SSD drive they manufactured to artificially increase demand and thus prices if I understand correctly.. I find myself grateful that I snagged three Samsung 970 Evo Pro Plus 1 TB drives (m2 version ) at $50 each looks like they're back up to $70 each now (no idea if the price will fall again Black Friday? )

I do seriously have to wonder when and where we find the bottom dollar price for all things, that is why I'm here after all. But old out of date tech has no choice in this matter. It simply must fall in price to be sold or it will be recycled as last resort. Partial loss or total loss is the question the manufacturers/sellers must ask themselves. SATA drives will continue to fall in price, that is the bet I'm hedging/placing...... But RAM on the other hand depends on version. I just paid $379 for 96 gigs a month ago, now it's $410. Is it climbing in prelude to the big Thanksgiving sale, or in-spite of it? But ain't that always the way about this time of year?

Bought this for a couple dollars more from Amazon for my Plex server, works fine after you load it up, alittle slow getting 3+Tb loaded but after that life is good. Hoping for longevity with this but in truth just playing with newer technology . I have 2 new WD 8tb white lable drives and 2 very low hours 8tb white lables waiting , you can never have to much storage!

What is the difference between this T-FORCE VULCAN and the TEAM GROUP QX? Both are TEAM GROUP and have basically the same price.
