Average price at best. Multiple server rack batteries will cost less. Plus Signature Solar customer service is poor. They like to pick and choose what customer questions they answer and simply ignore the rest. With that said, if they get the UL certifications for grid-tie installations this will easily beat the prices for other grid-tie batteries.

Ooohh, had no idea these were not UL-certified for grid-tie installs.

Do note that this is just a BMS and batteries, no inverter included. So unless you need 10kW of 48v power, this doesn't have much utility without an inverter.

Can the experts help me understand something here. I Know what UL benefits are but wat is the benefit of grid tie? Can I still use this as a home backup, with separate inverter, and charge from the utility? Am I not even allowed to charge from the grid if the unit is not certified for grid tie?

I guess the summary question is, if I'm not looking to sell energy back to the utility, can I still charge form the grid and use as a home backup with inverter (with the proper disconnects to prevent energizing the line during an outage)?

please point me to server rack batteries that cost less than this. Most of server rack batteries are ~$1500+/ea with 5.12kWh. This is the lowest $/kWh i've seen outside of building a battery yourself.

I bought my EG4 setup with the inverter and 18KPV, then did their server rack batteries at about $10k for 30kw this one is a great option and can be mounted on the wall so just a great price and application. I bought the 18KPV before it was approved to be grid tied but about a month later it was and now I am grid tied so EG4 from signature solar has been solid for me
