This is one of those modern co-op games that if you are like me who tends to play solo...probably isn't worth the buy. Nothing wrong with the game but just does not hit the same by yourself.

We had fun co-op, but like WooHoo said, it's pretty awful solo. Extremely repetitive combat, every enemy is either:
1: A zombie, which they try to make you think there's a bunch of versions but they're all very samey.
2: a huge scorpion.
3: level-end boss, a couple of which require actual baiting tactics to beat. Not sure how you'd kill them solo.

There's a bunch of puzzles, and they're a welcome change from the combat. None are terribly difficult but they're something different to do other than shoot zombie after zombie.

Weapons are all guns, and each hero has a special attack. Some of these attacks are great, others are pretty much "kill one enemy". There are better guns to buy, and upgrades that slot into them, but not a lot.

It's a fun way to spend a few evenings with friends, but there's nothing worth re-playing the levels for.

For $2.50 it's worth it. I remember years ago playing it for the first time and loving it. Bought all the expansion hunters and the total was like $15 back then. Worth it, but I went back to it a year ago and didn't enjoy it nearly as much. Has its moments.

This game takes the Zombie PvE model and makes it a little more Indiana Jones'y. It has some simple puzzles and bosses to break up the monotony. Depending on how picky your friends are, they may or may not enjoy playing with you. I think that if you check gg.deals, you can find this for under a buck sometimes, so you can easily buy copies for your friends to have people to play with.
