this is a great saw. don't expect it to ever be some ridiculous price. on sale is good enough.

As was previously mentioned, the deal the past few years at HD and Lowes was $399 for say and a stand was included.

Maybe we will see it later on in Christmas season

When I bought it exactly a year ago at home Depot it came out to be just over $250 for the saw. I was able to cancel/return the stand since I already had one. (some people refer to this as "hack"). Add the XPS light to this 779 saw for $120 from mmtool and you've got a 780 for $370. Hopefully they offer the same deal again this year.
