Look at the 1 star reviews on AMZ ... cam seems to ne prone to water intrusion and cable kinks easily unless taped to a snake kit. Doesn't sound too useful as shipped.

Damn, saved me some effort. I have some shitty 20 year old webcam on a thick cable that I'm dying to replace, but it sounds better than this.
I would like to know the actual screen resolution. I have a couple of these that had the same misleading language and the screen was less than 720p. Notice how they lump all the words together? The only thing that, actually and specifically, says 1080p is the resolution of the camera.

Don't do it. seriously have same one i picked up to inspect some drainage pipes, resolution, lighting, it's just not usable. Does work, charges, but image just isnt usable no matter how you tune it, it's probably the cheapie display.
now these usb ones you connect to a laptop with some ingenuity get the job done for cheap.
I scoped out a bunch of under slab drainage lines on a 60 year old place to figure out where new pvc work met old collapsed cast iron, inspected
crappy black garden drain pipe to find collapse area, and more than few other things and laptop res of course is good.
a tip for guiding long cables is tape to fish tape a quick wrap every foot or so that lets you push and pull back as inspecting things. A golf ball with hole drilled in it you mount the camera in will keep it off the bottom of if running through pipes or on a floor under something, If you need to measure of course mark or put piece of tape on your line, when you remove measure to there.

That is where $500 borescopes come in.
Sorry kiddo but you don't get professional tools at DIY / toy prices.
I don't have this one but bought one that connects to my iPhone as the screen off Amazon.
Just another way to use one of these, My dad was wanting to run electrical wire outside for their new porch ceiling. I used one of these down the drywall from their drop ceiling to see best path to run wire without cutting the wall.
Worked like a charm, just make sure it has a light at the end for the camera
I tried out several styles of these before finally settling on this one: https://a.co/d/8Xy4b8L
I highly recommend going with one of the stick handled ones because every other style I tried was kind of awkward to hold. I bought a WiFi/no screen one a few years ago that stopped connecting to my and my dad's phones so get one with a screen that'll work without WiFi.
Don't be alarmed when you first turn it on and the picture looks bad, it really needs to go into a smaller space where the light is sufficient to illuminate the area instead of testing it in a wide open room that it's unable to illuminate.

Yes people need to realize these have a super shallow focus depth and are meant for close ups. Your model also doesn't say what the screen resolution actually is. I ended up just getting one that plugs directly into my phone so I can see the full camera resolution. Much better, although it's a single lens which limits its applications.

I am needing to scope the return air duct system on my central HVAC. How do we think this item would work for that purpose. Any better products you would recommend? Trying to do this as inexpensively as possible

Video quality is terrible. Long cable is actually a big drawback since it is impossible to steer.
