Forgive my ignorance but how does that work? Won't it show $0 on the receipt? Sounds like a great hackable deal though if it works!

When Home Depot offer products with a 'free tool' they are charged as separate line items on the receipt. What the prices show in your cart are what each item will be refunded at.

I use this method or 'hack' as people on Slickdeals refer to it when Milwaukee offer a free tool with battery purchase. I just go in store to customer service and ask to make a return. Give them the battery and the order number and they refund you.

I've never had a problem returning items this way at either of my closest Home Depots, but some people apparently do have issues.

I'm not familiar with how the "hackable" works. Is it possible to return the table saw and keep the free battery?

Very tempted. Though I'm not sure I have a use for the table saw just yet.

Just got the worm drive circular and have a 780 miter. Any tips? What projects would require this?

Mainly do amateur hour type work. 😳

No, each item will be listed separately on the receipt. The battery will be at a discounted price and so will the table saw (or another free tool).

With this particular deal, you pay $250 for the table saw and $150 for the battery. If you return the table saw, you'll still be charged $150 for the battery.

Have this saw and use it often - its great, rips 2x with ease. You will want a few flexvolt batteries around for it.

Thank you for that clear explanation!

Great deal, grabbed one thanks!! It's the last thing I need in life, but I've never seen one priced so low.

Solid deal. I use the 10% off coupon and brought it down some more.

A circular saw can make all the cuts a table saw can if the blade can cut to required depth. That said a table saw is much easier for even and uniform ripping. It is a convience buy but with a well built sled you might not ever use your circ saw or miter saw again

I prefer the corded version. The flex volt eats batteries about one per hour with a 3-man trim crew. It also stalls out and cuts slower overall.

HD writes "Please make sure promotional items have the same delivery or pickup options and try again"
I want to choose a pickup for a saw and have the battery delivered to my home. Then do not pick up the saw from the store.
Is it possible to do this?
Will HD then return my money for the saw?

Addition:
I tried to go to Checkout, but the HD site does not skip this transition and requires me to select the same delivery methods.
What do you recommend doing?
