Ed: Unfortunately for me they dropped the price. So you'll pay $172 with them or I'll sell you mine for $150
Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank DonChubo
Really hoping that this isn't a sign that Monoprice is abandoning the guitar market!
That said - the "Donner" brand guitars available on Amazon and elsewhere seem very similar, and might be coming off the same line. Haven't pulled one apart to investigate yet, but if you need a cheap axe in the meantime, worth a look.
I did get a "We will no longer carry this item" on the electric drum kit. Which I would have caught that $80 closeout price.

Even if you aren't interested in the songs he demos (I wasn't), following his videos certainly helps get your fingers used to playing guitar.
I bought the $15 fender play subscription too, and I really wish I hadn't lol.
Seriously though, take your time and try to enjoy yourself and work towards stuff you want to play. I'm a bit all over the place with that myself. Stuff I've tried over the past year with varying levels of success:
1. George Benson - Affirmation. (I am actually somewhat satisfied with how I play parts of that lol)
2. Stan Getz - Girl from Ipanema. (I got nowhere)
3. Some random flamenco strumming patterns from the gipsy kings
4. Misty (just barely getting started)
5. Santana - Samba Pa Ti (lots of fun!)... also just barely getting started!
Then there's Jens Larsen's videos on jazz riffs and getting started. I like those as well, but it's a bit of a jump from the justin guitar videos.
Ah I don't know why you're worried though. If you're worried your guitar might be holding you back after buying several, I'd recommend going to a music store or two and trying different instruments. That or maybe find a guitar lesson teacher that can help give you some pointers in your self-learning journey. I've never tried that, but I hear it can help sometimes.
