- stupid windows updates, if you have other Microsoft products like office it takes more storage during updates.
- overall performance, windows boost its performance using SSD(search index, etc.)
- Driver lifespan(SSD lifespan is much longer with bigger drives)
- future optional windows features and drivers(don't get me start about some printer company installs multiple gigabytes of crappy software to ensure I order their cartridges once they are low. The OCR almost never work).
Last year I was jonesing to upgrade my 2 TB M.2 drive on my mini-local server to 4 TB. The lowest I could find in October was a Crucial CT4000P3SSD8 for $330. Then just the week before Newegg had one for $300. BF came and went and there were no better deals than that. Finally, on Cyber-Monday it popped up for $260 & I dropped the hammer. Since then similar drives have occasionally dropped to ~$150.
It is in my cart and calling my name, but I'm trying to resist.
