for those of you like me, that signs up a new sams every year with a "free" offer, is it worth it to get this? I did the math on my purchases last year and they would equal $54 cashback. How does sams cash back even work for plus? Do we get paid before renewal?

Sam's Curbside every 1-2 months & everything else ships, unless it has a 'shipping fee' on that 'free shipping'. I am 30 miles away from 2 different Sam's & 1 Costco.

Also, that free shipping is going to look really good if gas prices start rising due to mid east conflicts.

Middle East conflict seems to lower gas prices where I live (Dallas, TX.) Regular unleaded can be seen as low as $2.79 today.

They must be checking something other than emails to see if you've had a membership or not. I just tried using a disposable email and it still flagged me.

Here's what I did: I got online and did a chat with Sam's and told the lady I hadn't had a membership in over a year and was trying to buy a discounted membership, giving her an old email I knew I hadn't used in a year. She said no prob, give me your addy/phone and I'll clear it. Gave her the old addy and a Google Voice number and she cleared it no problem and I was able to buy my membership for $20.

I just got this $60 by using an old phone number. It did stop me and asked on a prompt, "you look familiar. Do you want to renew or join?" I clicked join (I'd been a year without a membership but my husband had one that expired recently.)

It went through but I'm not sure if I get one plus membership or one as well as a standard. Supposedly I'm getting cards in the mail, one black (plus) and one blue for additional card member. ? $60 but took some tweaks. It didn't flag my address, but my phone number.

They are all like that. Costco you have to have your membership down for like 3 months or more to try and get a "new" one with a new start date. And you lose your history, which can be important for going back and looking things up, getting 8 year greenworks warranty service, etc.

I got this to work. Probably 4th or 5th membership over the years using some kind of discount. This one I needed use a different phone number for main member. I used my work landline. And it worked. For extra member I used my wife's cell phone. That has been in their system before and didnt cause a problem.

So it does work. Just use a different phone number is you have a problem. Any land line will work too.

Does anyone have any idea when free membership will be coming? I mean you pay it first for the membership but then it will be reimbursed in your first purchase.
