I bought one for now and figured I would just return and repurchase if it was lower.

This thread reminds me of my Mom. She was always creeped out by the Chia Pet commercials for some reason so she'd avoid looking at the TV when they'd come on.

I've always wondered how long the little plants in these live, assuming proper care and watering. That hand coming out of the ground is just fantastic.

Yes, chia plants are edible. Chia seeds, in particular, are commonly consumed and are a good source of nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein. The seeds can be added to various dishes, including smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, or used as a thickening agent in recipes. Chia leaves are also edible and can be used in salads or as a leafy green in cooking.

I mix 3 tablespoons in a glass of water and drink it. Ya know, to help me poo and whatnot.
