These are really old models and I wouldn't recommend them at this price.

This is a decent deal. Not great tools and only 1.3 ah batteries, but still dewalt. I have these and I have the several xr models. These are very basic and some people will buy these and thing dewalt has gone to crape, but understandably what your buying. The impact I used for several years then turned into an airhorn. This is a decent deal considering the breakdown. Impact goes for atleast 40/50 deals. Drill is weak so don't go carving out a 3" hole in hard maple in 2 seconds of course your doing to burn out the little motor out. I used it for many spade bit drills and it's still going. I have an atomic and a couple XR drills and these won't come close to the 991 or similar. These are basically a good black and decker. Dewalt must have 20 or so different drill models now and I think it confuses people. This is entry models at what I think is a good price. That said dewalt really jacked up their price once I have invested enough into their systems and I was very unhappy. Batteries I was buying increased nearly 70% overnight and I didn't see any drops until more recently. Milwaukee has had some great deals for 2-3 years while dewalt had done nothing. I was contacted by dewalt and have probably 10k worth of their tools. I gave my synopsis and they responded they would "send it to the board" I love my dewalt tools. I do not love the company or their decisions.... these are very good tools, but not the best, they consistently come in mid level for various tool trials and rally come in high among the best tool manufacturers. I guess I started loading in when dewalt was issuing tons of "deals". There were quite a few tools I wanted, but could never justify with the huge price increases of 100-150% from constant deals. Been thinking about going Milwaukee for a while now and they are generally better tools. Anyway bot that anyone ia reading this by now, bit there are basically only 5 or so tool manufacturers anyway. Since Stanly black and decker owns dewalt now this pack is probably obviously the older quality of a mid range black and decker which is the lower quality dewalt. I'm not really a fan of how dewalt treated me, but their tools have been decent, I wouldn't go with them again, but if someone wants a decent cheap drill/driver set this is a decent deal breaking it down with batteries and charger. With all the drills I feel like I should make a youtube for just all these drill/driver levels.

The DCK278C2(?) is available at Home Depot for $149.
