I've had this tablet since it launched and also purchased the case as I had some Google Store credit to use. It's not going to be an overpowering tablet but it is fantastic for what most people use tablets for (watching media and reading stuff). As for the case, while it's expensive it is a great case for this device. The metal ring that serves as the kickstand works really well and allows you to stand the device in both landscape and portrait orientation

When they released this tablet, and I saw how much they were asking for it, I was flabbergasted. These cannot be moving much.

I mean, Google was the one who had to put out the nexus 7 for $200 a decade ago because all the competition was putting out overpriced proprietary tablets. How could Google not see that this tablet, in this day and age, with those specs, and with that crazy-high price, was an absolute non-starter? Are they trying to become Apple or what?

I'm afraid to buy non high end tablets because of my Kindle Fire experience (I know that is a super cheap tablet). But I had a Pixel 7 with a G2 at launch and wasn't impressed by it's choppiness. So same CPU in a tablet concerns me.

Yep agree. this is 200 dollar tablet with 50 dollar speaker. I think Google thinks its user base is like apple. Slap a logo on it and all off sudden its worth 5x its price.

For some reason I thought this was going to be like my old Google Home Hub device primary, and can removed from the dock and utilized as a tablet secondarily. I was wrong, this is a straight up tablet that simply has a docking mode with subpar docking features. I wish I did more research before getting this. As a tablet, the battery life seems good, and I have no issues with it otherwise.

I had the S8 Ultra and it was too bulky and heavy to be portable. I traded in for S9 + when it was for $800 trade in value. Love the smaller 12" screen on S9+.

True. Tablet itself is not heavy but with case, it becomes less portable. I'm interested in Pixel lineup and their smoothness compared to Samsung's. So looking for a good trade-in deal.

From the sounds of things they're starting to port more Hub features to this guy, but yeah when I read that at launch I pumped the brakes on pulling the trigger.
