Does anyone know if this set is supposed to retire soon? If so, then I might pick it up but I've done a lot of LEGO spending recently and my wallet could use the break if it's not.

Lego has been delaying retirement of many sets lately. I don't even trust it anymore.

Does it really matter if they retire it? They always come out with a new edition of the Millenium Falcon set anyway, just like the X-wing too.

This is the one to get. The UCS is awesome and maybe the best Lego set of all time (Star Wars, anyway), but it is huge and heavy. I have nowhere to display it and I won't let my kid play with it or pieces/figures will go missing. I've been avoiding disassembling to sell just because it will take hours.
