Just fixed my inherited professional 600 mixer from the 1990s. My father reassembled it wrong and the lift wasn't working for decades lol. Old one is very loud but can mix bread unlike the modern ones, what a disappointment when I found out about that but glad I got mine working. If true about the bread, might be worth just buying an old used one or swapping out the parts like the first replay I believe is suggesting.
