Your post sounds like a robot. I don't understand half of what you're saying except Samsung.
Had it. Returned it. Not good at cleaning or navigating a room.
I basically said a iRobot sucks. I used to review for them. Sorry you don't understand. I'm using voice because I am disabled.

This certified refurbished robot from iRobot will be more reliable than many of the other listings seen on SD recently. New doesn't always mean better!
This company will actually support the software and hardware.

How does this clean plush carpeting? Will the suction be as good as standing vacuum cleaners like Dyson?

Best robot I've ever found was made by Samsung. iRobots are great but too many problems. are used to review robots since they're very first one. They're red one, when they first started and every one since then.I still prefer Samsung.

I have one and it seemingly does well. Leaves a nice brushed look. That being said, how deep a clean it is. It also takes longer on carpet surfaces, pulls up more fuzz and such and generally uses battery more intensely. Again, covers all the house, just takes longer than in homes I have been without carpet.

I bought this vacuum and it's excellent at cleanup and avoiding obstacles. Although this sounds weird to say for a "vacuum", suction power is not actually a good indicator of how well this cleans.

You really have to watch "Vacuum wars" YouTube video review on this model. He's very thorough with his reviews and explains why this cleans so well with less suction power than other models. It basically has to do with its dual rubber roller technology.

Anyhoo, this is a great vacuum, self emptying. I highly highly recommend this.

The dual roller patent has expired and latest Roborock used them in their S8 series, Q8 and Q5 pro. I own both S8+ (dual roller model) and the last generation S7 MaxV Ultra, I don't see the dual roller necessarily better. You see the review from the same guy Vacuum wars https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8Te7zF87q4&t=75s, [youtube.com] he basically said the dual roller is not better. S7 MaxV ultra picked more than S8 pro ultra in the vacuum test.

I haven't used j7 but my other 2 Roomba (slightly older version) were not good. They were so bad that we didn't bother turning them on in the end.

Roborock uses laser navigation, while iRobot uses optical and acoustic navigation. The cost of the navigation system in Roborock is higher and more effective. There are other brand using that too like Dreametech, which has a more affordable price. And IMHO a dump robot who can't navigate well is not worth it no matter how deep the discount is. So if your house is always tidy, nothing on the floor, and have well positioned furnitures along the wall only, you may do with basic robots. On the other hand, if you often have displaced things due to kids or pets or busy life, get a real smart robot or a maid.

I've had no luck with refurbished. I decided to give refurb one more chance and bought a factory refurbished robo vac off woot. And guess what? It wouldn't connect to my wifi so back it went. I'm done with refurbished garbage they just clean and send back out.

The j7 uses a front facing camera to avoid things you left on the floor, including poop avoidance. I think calling it dumb navigation is a little out of place.

It also goes under loose fabric "barriers" like curtains, bed skirts, etc., while laser guided bots see those as a wall to avoid.

It'll never compete with a Dyson these robots don't have enough power
I thought the same. It ended up retiring my Dyson. Watch some testing videos on YouTube. I don't have to hear the vaccuum when I am home
