altho googling about it i did find this fwiw
"The first thing I noticed about the Plus CX34's 1080p display is the brightness level. Normally, I like to bump the brightness up on laptops because I'm a goblin in a human suit and I like to operate in darker environments. However, the display on this particular machine is very bright, even when it's at 50 percent. It definitely seems brighter than Asus' reported 250 nits. It's not ideal for outdoor use, but that's not really a deal-breaker for me. "

Looking for something lightweight, web browsing/YT with decent battery life and durability.

The electronics discount, I noticed my target account had it but my wife's does not. I feel like I often get these "select accounts" discounts because I don't shop at target often, but my wife shops there all the time so they don't have to entice her with deals.
This should play the chrome version of Minecraft once that launches.
However, both of these work better on a Windows computer from my experience. If you have the budget, an entry level or used gaming computer or laptop may be a better choice.

But, in darkness, why in God's name do you want a bright display?!!!

I'm glad there's no card slot or I'd really be tempted to buy another Chromebook that I don't need. Will be watching for any deep discounts this holiday season though. Also watching to see if there's any downside to the UFS storage.
I'd be interested in what owners think of the trackpad and its smoothness. Got spoiled by the HP x360 gen 8. The Asus 433 is not bad either but slightly less impressive.
