You probably have that weird Windows 11 encryption going on that zaps like 2x the performance.

Turn it off (google it), it's a Windows issue. My Nano (gen 1) is freakin' fast!

OP: This laptop weighs 1.99lb. The 2.14lb weight you listed is for the touchscreen version.

Also, just a FYI for those that didn't notice at first glance: The SSD can be upgraded, but it only takes a 2242 m.2 SSD, which are double the price of regular 2280 SSDs. Also, much smaller selection of 2242 SSDs are available. The 512GB version of this laptop is $50 more from the same seller, but a 512GB 2242 costs $50, so if you want 512GB, might as well spend the extra $50 on that config to save yourself the hassle of upgrading.

No it is not. I bought one of these last month and it is the SLOWEST laptop I have ever used running windows 11. It does all kinds of weird stuff and hiccups all the time. I even installed a gen4 2230 1tb ssd and it made no difference. Also, the battery life doesn't come close to advertised. My biggest gripe is that the keyboard backlight will not stay on, it constantly requires toggling on with FN + space. Do yourself a favor and find something else. My 3 year old razer blade would run circles around this thing.

EDIT: The single most annoying part of this laptop is like many other thinkpads, it takes ages to jump on the wifi and obtain an IP everytime you open it up.

You got it easy. My 2013 T430 still works just fine and judging by the comments in this thread - maybe even faster than the new staff?

Not having an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment is a deal breaker for me
Literally unusable! Also should include an RTX 4090 at this price. And 1 million nit screen. It should get so bright I get a tan like the guy in Sunshine. How do you peasants even live?

Why did you install a Gen 4 SSD into a laptop that doesn't support the Gen 4 interface? That wouldn't have done anything
