I'm not sure if this was a serious question... But yes, it can cut baseboards, and really anything else (plastic, metal, wood, etc.) even with the wrong blade it will still work through the material you're cutting. But the right blade makes the best/easiest cuts

Wow, is DeWalt considered that bad these days?
No, they're being dramatic. DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Makita are common amongst tradesmen.

That's a nice price for the full kit. If I hadn't landed one of these as part of a 5-tool kit, I'd buy.
What was the 5 tool kit cost? What do you think between this and the 12v dewalt (or Milwaukee for that matter)

Well, you won't see a contractor walking around with any skill tools. You can get the atomic 20 V max Dewalt oscillating tool and half-inch drill combo for 150 bucks. Even if you have a drill and it's not really that great or it is a skill I would spend my money and get that at Home Depot on sale right now. https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWAL...YWJuSJwx00
That's 315$ a week later unfortunately, but maybe better priced without the combo

I have a slightly different version of this that I paid $99 for and it's been absolutely great; battery life is excellent as well.

I have this, it is a great tool! It is brushless, tool less blade change, 6 different speeds. This is not a tool that is usually "used and abused", it is for specific uses, and they are not usually that hard on the tool. There is a video on the web comparing it to the Milwaukee 12 volt oscillating tool, the Skil won many categories.

Skil is made by Chervon, the company behind EGO outdoor tools, Kobatl 24 volt tools and the new line of FLEX professional tools, they make quality tools.

If you have a need for this type of tool, get it, you won't be sorry! Once you have it, you will find all sorts of uses for it, I know I have.

I'm a contractor and I have like 6 skil 12v tools that I use fairly often for little stuff, they've been terrific over the past 2 years.

I don't see the kit option on Amazon anymore. Not on any of the other buying options as well. Only $55 for bare tool only

I bought the 5 piece kit around a year ago for $115 and I find it to be fantastic at that price. Even at 60 this doesn't seem like a bad deal. I've been impressed with a lot of the small details of the skil kit like ergonomics, led placement, USB ports etc. They seem to have put a good amount of thought into them. I haven't abused them yet but they are great for around the house tasks. I have an assortment of Milwaukee tools that I often reach passed to grab the skill tools, unless it's really heavy duty work.

I have one of these dedicated to breaking down cardboard boxes. You can get a blade that cuts through cardboard like butter and makes recycling large boxes much easier

Last year from Lowe's I purchased the 5 piece brushless tool set for $99. Use it a lot and my go-to for around the house.

This was one of the tools included. Used it to cut out an outlet hole. great tool.

I'm thinking of buying this from Lowe's. Any recommendations? https://www.lowes.com/pd/SKIL-PWR...5001047635
