I have the Bosch brushless oscillating multi tool but with starlock. I seldom use it and it's just for home improvement.

Would something like this be better for cheap adapters like at harbor freight? As I know starlocks are kinda an arm and a leg for often once a year use in my case.

By adapters do you mean blades? Yes this should take the typical non Starlock ones.

I bought this to cut under door trims when I installed my floors. It was perfect for that. I didn't feel the need to buy an expensive one for a one time (for me) tool.

I would stay away from the recip saw unless it is for light pruning. All the others listed are very good for the DIY homeowner

I've used the recording saw to prune trees. Probably did about 10 big cuts on one charge.

I bought this for $50 last year. It is powerful enough to go through nails and cut wood. My mom used it recently to redo some tiles in her kitchen. The battery holds a charge. For $30, this is a great deal.

As there may seem to be a big jump between 12v and 18v or 20v let's not forget before lithium batteries were a thing 12 volt power tools were king of the jungle.
Now I'm not sure if a 12v nicad power tool would be more powerful than a 12 lithium powered tool but I had the dewalt 12v lithium powered driver and to be honest I used it alot more than any 20v drill I had because it was powerful enough and lot lighter it was however a little bit slower but for a job that needed alot of screws drivin it was alot easier on the arms

It's showing $59.98 here in South Florida... Looks like a really good deal if you can get it at the $29.98 price.
