Yep. Bought this because I got tired of dealing with gas, transferring clothes, etc.

I was very surprised at how well it worked. But of course, temper your expectations.

You can't FULLY load it. And expect things to dry completely.

I do smaller loads, which is still quite a lot compared to my old GIANT Maytag top loading.

It's quiet, efficient and it's dry when it's all done. The app notifies when it's 5 minutes away from being done. And when it's actually done.

The clothes come out damp feeling but when you expose it to air, it just dries up completely. Weird. But true.

And the clothes are nice and soft. I think the best part is the 32oz of liquid detergent. I set it to auto. And I can do a decent amount of loads.

12-15. Depending on the clothes.

One thing…I did buy a dedicated small battery Ryobi vacuum It makes it easier to vacuum the lint after 1-2 laundry.

Remember. The cleaner the lint basket is. The dryer the clothes come out. So I've made it a habit to just do it every 1-2 loads.

Regular clothes don't produce much lint. It's the blankets, towels and bathroom floor rugs that do.

Just things to consider and think about. I've had it for about 6 months. I'm happy.

I considered putting a second one side by side to do more laundry. Since they do sell a Y site connector for the water intake. But…I'm happy with the one.

I ended up just putting full wall cabinets where the old dry er used to be.
This uses a heat pump to generate heat and remove moisture. So the drying effect is similar to the evaporator in your home AC system, in that it pulls moisture from the air and just sends it to the drain without needing to vent externally. Pretty neat setup, and the reviews I've seen online seem positive about the tech. It also uses MUCH less electricity than a standard dryer. Like 1/4 per load vs. traditional dryer with heating element.
If you are a first responder or government employee, GE offers a 20% discount through their website using ID.me. Their listed price is $2,199, but after the discount shows as $1,759.20 with free shipping (not including your local tax).

Just bought at Lowe's and received another $200 off for a total price of $1798.
How did you get the extra $200 off?

Another factor to consider is that the 5-year extended warranty is $160 at Costco and $300 at Lowes.

there is a $200 off $1600 coupon, just add to cart. Yes, cant beat CostCo standard 2yr warranty plus the 5-year add-on as well. CostCo also includes free delivery, line hoses, and haul-away.

Received mine on Saturday afternoon, gotta say I have been very happy with it so far. I have done 4 loads so far, once with a light king-size comforter with sheets and pillowcases and it was slightly damp nothing not common with that size load. The 3 other were regular loads and they were dry. It is quiet & efficient. Happy with the purchase.

Ps. Check your local utility company for potential rebates PSE&G certainly has some.

Ventless systems dryer or combos are a pain and expensive to service if you can find anyone that will. It may come with a 2 year warranty, but not a lot of service providers will work with manufacturers they're the worst.

I'm seeing the Lowe's price up to $2200, now $200 off = same $2000.

Bought this the day that it launched. As luck would have it my washer went out and dryer was on it's last legs. Went through GE's site and used first responder discount and got it for right at $1800. I LOVE this unit. Honestly can't find any downsides to it other than you can't adjust the temperature of the dryer portion, but that to me isn't a big deal. Reading through the comments here and there is a lot of stupidity showing itself. There really isn't a valid factual con to it that I have found. That said, everyone has their preferences, and that is a great thing and nothing wrong with it. That said, remember your preference is not a valid reason to discourage or encourage someone else from buying it. I spent dozens of hours researching this unit before I bought it and it checked all my boxes that were important to me that no other unit could.

Like I said buy this if it's right for you. If 50% off makes something "low end" then reserve a space for me in the trailer park.
What you compared that to isn't a valid comparison though, so not understanding what you are trying to say.

I am really not sure why, but the fanboys for this item is out in full effect on SD. If you even remotely say anything remotely that can be construed as negative, they will jump on you, even when you didn't even mean it in a negative way. This is even worse than an Apple post.

It's as if these people worked for the marketing department at GE.

And by the way, on Costco website, the most EXPENSIVE washer dryer set is like around $1700 with most being less than $1500, so I certainly wouldn't say this is priced as a mid-priced washer/dryer. It's around $500 more than that.
I can't speak for Costco, but pretty much everywhere I looked, the cost of a washer and dryer I liked pretty much was the same price as this unit.

There's nothing like this GE on the market in terms of tech or performance for an all-in-one, nothing to compare to.

That's because you are too much of a fanboy to listen to what others have to say objectively. It's really not that hard to understand what that person is trying to say. Seriously, just read it again.

The LG is a totally different machine from the GE. The LG looks like it uses a standard electric heating element versus the heatpump of the GE. LG will likely require a 240v circuit instead of the 110v of the GE and will use way more electricity. Unless the LG has a venting system, the problem with that sort of washer/dryer is that they accumulate lint in the machine which shortens the lifespan. The GE generates significantly less lint because it runs cooler. It will have the same benefit as the GE from the perspective of not having to transfer clothes from a washer to the dryer and will most likely have quicker wash times than the GE.
