Also with Walmart+ you get free flat tire repair and free road hazard warranty when you purchase new tires with installation..
typically the longer the tread life, the harder the tire material and not as comfortable
Numbers is tough.

I waited till 12pm today as a walmart+ to buy these tires but at 11am, it said SOLD OUT.
I was pissed. Seems like a BS sale when it's not even available before the time stated.
Just got home from work and surprisingly, it's available.
Bought 4 for my CRV. Perfect timing.
Same ! I checked at 12:03pm yesterday and it was sold out. Checked again now and was available at San Diego store (Murphy Canyon). Bought a set of 4 with installation. Thanks for the update !

Thanks for the reply, 3 questions:

1) I take it you're using this (or an older version of this)?: Harbor Freight Tire Changer model: 58731 in conjunction with that custom attachment you linked to on amazon plus a nylon duck head. https://www.harborfreight.com/man...re+changer

2) And for the balancer I take it you're using this (or an older version of this)?: Harbor Freight 59140
https://www.harborfreight.com/por...l+balancer

3) So how are you breaking the bead, are you using this?:
https://www.harborfreight.com/bea...58769.html
I use the 10 in tire iron set at Autozone and a piece of old tire tread (0.1" thick) between the tire iron and rim to protect the aluminum. Put a scissor jack between the tire and car's jack point to break the bead. Suspect there are YT videos to help remove and mount tires. Low profile tires (<45 aspect ratio) may be more difficult to install.

The current HF tire tool is junk.

Anyone have experience with SecureDrive tires from Firestone? I'm debating canceling my order of Goodyear outlast. SecureDrive tire is H rated and only 40,000 warranty as compared to Goodyear which is V rated and 80,000 warranty. Both have good reviews, with the SecureDrive praised for being quiet. On paper the Goodyear is superior but……

Those tires are closer to the reliant than the outlast. Both are ok economy tires but nothing to write home about.

I would keep the Outlast,

Hi Guys, I am debating btw Goodyear Reliant All-Season 245/50R20 102V $133/ea and Continental CrossContact LX25 All Season 245/50R20 102H $205/ea for my acura mdx in SoCal.

Leaning towards Goodyear due to price and V rating. not sure about the noise level on them.
Any input is appreciated

Look at the General RT45 at $177 each

Much better than the reliant but similar performance to the Continental at a lower price.

In your idea of using the scissor jack between the sidewall of the tire and the Jack point, what's on the bottom in that example?

Is it: tire on the bottom, And then the jack is on top of that, and then the vehicle is on top of the jack?

tell me the order from bottom to top because I don't know what kind of ground clearance you have but that's a lot of stuff to fit in between when the lift point on my car is only like 6 inches off the ground as it is.

Also, separate question, what are you using to balance the tire?

Also, separate question, what are you using to balance the tire?
1. Top...jack point at front left or right of vehicle.
2. Middle...scissor jack on top of the tire. Position the jack's base (side with the longest length) as close as possible to the rim.
3. Bottom...wheel.

When you raise the scissor jack, the weight of the car will push the jack's base into the tire, and eventually break the tire's bead. Rotate the tire 90 degree and repeat this procedure to fully release the tire's bead from the rim. Repeat steps 1-3 to break the bead at the other side of the wheel. If the car is too low, then use a center jack to lift the front of the car off the ground and insert the scissor jack. Finally, lowering the center jack may be sufficient to break the bead without the need to open the scissor jack. Always wear eye protection!

I use the HF tire balance tool. Add a small piece of custom Teflon insert at the point of pivot to improve sensitivity. No problem balancing the tire to 1/8 oz static. I recheck the balance at 90 180 and 270 degree. 100% success rate with any unbalanced wheel.

Don't waste your money on 58769

Yes to 59140, 58731

You'll also need to buy 3x 24" spoon, they're around $5 with 30% coupons. Use 58731 to brake the bead, people who left bad reviews were not using it correctly. You'll need to place the valve w/TPMS 90 deg away from breaker. Then to pull the break toward you, it needs to be seated at 15 deg angle or it ain't going to break. Never jump up and down, just push down on it and wait for it to slowly break away from bead. People who left negative reviews did not use it correctly. There are 100 different ways to break bead, it's the one job 58731 does an excellent job I can't believe of all the bad reviews. Are we allowed to post photos? I'll share you my notes. I kept a pretty good notes. Unfortunately you might not understand but it'll paint better pictures, it's notes for me.

Same here. I checked this morning and they were available WITH Walmart+. I checked again just before noon MST and they were sold out. I checked again about an hour ago 5:30pm MST and they were available WITHOUT Walmart+, so I pulled the trigger. They will be delivered to the nearest Walmart on Nov 27th.
