They were happening when using eARC from my Samsung TV. Sound from the HDMI-in port of the sound bar didn't have the problem. But the sound bar is HDMI 2.0 and I want 4K 120hz for consoles.
So I was able to get an HDMI 2.1 audio extractor which output the full video signal to the TV, and just the audio to the sound bar. The sound bar still has issues starting up once in a while and requires an unplug and replug. But while using it, it's been issue free for several hours straight.
In regards to the audio cutting out, there has been many firmware updates to this unit. However many do not know about it since you have to manually update it using a USB stick. The audio on mine was also cutting out due to interference with my 5ghz WiFi channel strangely. However, I picked a channel that wasn't in use and it resolved my issues.
Also, my audio was cutting out using a Fire Stick 4k Max Gen 1. However after upgrading to the new Gen 2 4k Max, all my issues have been resolved.
I recommend this soundbar while others may not due to the issues. For what you pay, you get an incredible sounding system.

Not the best system in terms of quality but for the price, it's very worth it!
