Completely different unit than this one. Different model #, doesn't come with the temp probe, etc.

Amazon had a 20 dollar coupon on top of 199.99….gets you to the same place. From there I got 6 percent cash back using their credit card.

Besides the temp probe, are there any other notable things better with this Costco model? I'm tempted to get the non-smart model from Kohls given that it's cheaper in price.

The temp probe is key. It's the whole reason to get this thing. For 20 bucks, splurge. Dunno about the rest, although Costco warranty/return is so much better than Amazon too.

Why is the temp probe so important? Honest question; I don't cook a lot and mainly plan to use this to heat/ reheat food, and don't anticipate to ever cook my own rotisserie chicken or turkey, etc.

If you want a medium rare cook, for example, you just pop the probe into the meat, select the doneness and the meat type (i.e. beef, chicken, etc.) and hit start. It'll beep and stop the cook for you once it's done. No more opening the door and checking constantly. SUPER convenient.

If it is $199 online , is it usually $199 in warehouse? These things are difficult to clean though
