I heard strawberry is one of the worst flavors from almost every thread. I tried it myself and it was ok if you pinch your nose

For what it's worth extreme milk chocolate is better than double rich chocolate by a mile.

I decided to go for Extreme Milk Chocolate for $96.20. I think the extra $5 is worth it to go with a decent flavor vs Strawberry.

This is a good value, but for those who regularly drink protein shakes and care about cholesterol, this brand/flavor has slightly more calories and 60mg of cholesterol compared to 10mg in Dymatize ISO100 (what I use).

Anyone tried the strawberry before? How does it taste? As a reference I am a huge fan of Nesquik strawberry milk. Haven't had it since college since it's not healthy but if this protein tastes anywhere close to it, I might get a bag.
It tastes great. It is the flavor that I always get with Optimum. It has a 4.7 out of 5 rating (217,000 reviews).

This is for drinking after your workout. I only drink protein shakes right after a workout. I don't sip it. I chug it. It isn't really for a "tasty nesquik strawberry milk" replacement. Nesquik has 10 grams of sugar for 2 tablespoons. Nesquik is like a snack drink. This optimum has 2 grams of sugar for a 31 gram scoop. Optimum tastes good to me but I wouldn't say it tastes just like nesquik.

People can be such picky eaters and also protein drinkers. So sensitive and picky. The strawberry tastes good and this product and this flavor has a 4.7 out of 5 star rating (217,000 reviews).

* Protein drinks always taste better with milk.

* I got 10 pounds for total of $84.17... Very good deal for Optimum whey.
For me it's showing up as $91.19 before tax for the Strawberry in 10 pounds. Can you please tell me how you were able to get it for $84.17? Thank you!

It is really bad. I can't emphasize how bad it is. It tastes worse than the worse medicine

I bought vanilla ice cream and it tastes just like vanilla ice cream.

Their vanilla pre-made shakes taste like trash.

$9 a lb? That's a lot for protein, yes?

I have not been following protein prices of late but it does seem expensive.
O have seen ON bags at Costco for much less I think, although not for a while now.

Seems like stock is very tight for the natural varieties

Probably due to tin hatters afraid of artificial sweeteners
Plenty of studies linking artificial sweetener use to various cancers. If you only use this stuff once a week or so no big deal. If you are using it daily this becomes more of a concern. Nothing tin hat about being careful about what you are putting in your body.

Here is just one peer reviewed paper published last year: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/...MC8946744/

Of course you can always ignore the science and take advice from Joe Rogan if that makes you feel better.

This is currently $69.99 for 5 lbs at Costco so this is a solid deal.

Not quite, the 203,000+ reviews are for ALL the flavors that that page offers. In-stock and out-of-stock items included. So it's not fair to say Strawberry has 4.7-star rating with two hundred thousand reviews.

In fact, when you filter on flavor name [amazon.com] in the reviews, it appears to only have 383 TOTAL ratings, 126 of which contain a review. Looks to be about a 4-star rating from quickly skimming those reviews.

Dear tin hatters:

Cinnamon is a known carcinogen. Do you avoid all products with cinnamon in them?

Maybe you should, because you are more likely to get cancer from cinnamon than an artificial sweetener: https://www.cancer.gov/about-canc...fact-sheet

Of course, you can always point out one uncontrolled study in France and act smug if that makes you feel better.

I like them both. Milk chocolate is slightly better in drinks/smoothies, Double Rich chocolate is slightly better as ingredients in power bars and other food. But both are fine in either.
