It seems so. It has good clamping voltage. You want something with 400 or less clamping voltage. Most surge protectors have 500 or higher and aren't very good. Rotatable plugs also makes it easier to plug in power cords because you can angle them in alternating ways that prevents large bulky plug adapter from blocking the next outlet. I'm not sure why this surge protector only has the angled plugs on one side but having 5 is still a bonus. Only negatives I can think of are the lack of flathead plug and no insurance.

I bought this brand/style of surge protector around 10 years ago. That version had the swivel plugs on both sides. And for what it's worth it's still working great to this day
