How good are the thermals on this? How is it compared to legions with similar configurations.

I just built a desktop with the exact same spec 3 months ago (with desktop cpu and gpu of course). I can honestly say I spent way more than this.

yeah def can't compare a desktop to notebook LOL. But for being a laptop, specs are pretty decent. These things sure have come a long ways in the past 20 years

It won't. It will consume over twice the power and maybe get 60% more performance. It will not run "circles". The CPU will definitely not run circles. It's wishful thinking by desktop people who want to validate their exorbitant purchases. And I am saying this as a desktop person who spent $2000+ on my last setup.

Says the screen is 1920 x 1200, 480 hz. Did u read the specs for the webcam (1080p, 30 fps) and think it was the screen specs?

There don't seem to be any professional reviews of this laptop with the 1920x1200 screen.
The 2560x1600, 240 Hz screen has excellent color quality, but only 317nits of brightness, dimmer than similar laptops from Lenovo, Asus, Acer, and MSI.
The battery life is very short on this laptop, only around 3.5 hours for web browsing at low brightness, or about an hour while gaming.
For comparison, the Asus strix 16" supports over 9.5 hours of web browsing, and the Lenovo legion pro 7 16" is a bit over 5 hours.
Not sure why Alienware went with a smaller battery, especially as this is one of the largest 16" gaming laptops of this generation, the Asus and Lenovo are both smaller overall.
Also, the current generation Asus, Acer, Lenovo, and MSI gaming laptops support changing the laptop via USB-C at 100watts, but this Alienware does not support USB charging.

In my opinion the Lenovo Legion Pro 7/7i is the best 16" gaming laptop this year, with the ASUS ROG Strix close behind.

Your out of your mind. Desktop parts are completely different over laptop components. You have been fooled by the parts having similar/same names. The parts are completely different and are in no way shape or form comparable. The only real benefit to a laptop is portability.

Add a 1 inch air gap or extra cooler if you playing Cyberpunk at Ultra setting

4000 series run much cooler with lower watts than 3000 series
