I'm not saying brushless is impossible for an AC product, but brushless motors run on DC so you'd need some sort of rectifier in order to achieve that.
For a tool like this, I'll take corded.

Well yeah, it's the corded version.

Pretty good joke, I appreciated it

...you want a cordless table saw?
Also, been looking at those sawstops. Is that worth the extra $$ or just a gimmick? Seems to me the extra $1k is worth not losing a finger.

Yes I … saw that.

Tamar at 3x3Custom does some pretty cool stuff using just a job site table saw:

I think it depends on how "into it" you plan to be, too. Most people don't start with a SawStop, but if you're planning to do a LOT of woodworking for years to come, or plan to make a living from it and have the space for it, they're worth the money from the safety aspect because you'll keep your fingers/hands/arms in one piece and so will everyone else you let
use it. Cabinet saws are also quieter, if that's a concern.
That said, most beginners/dabblers like myself start with a decent job site saw. I bought a SKIL TS6307-00 as it was the best bang for the buck at $299

This doesn't do dado, which may be pretty important depending on what woodworking you are getting into.
I think the dewalt 10" version would be better choice for a buy once option.
I've been watching and researching. I may just pull the trigger on the HF hurricane table saw if I can't find a deal on the dewalt. Reviews comparing it to the dewalt are very favorable. If I was a pro, I'd probably opt for dewalt, but I really haven't seen much critical about the HF one.
I'm very impressed with it, especially for the price. I will definitely be changing out the blade for a Diablo and see if that helps cut a little smoother.
I also have very little experience with table saws so I'm sure it's a little user error.
I'm not sure how much better you can do at this price. The 10" is obviously a better saw but it's also twice as expensive

I'm hoping for a holiday sale of the DWE7491RS. I've not used a rack and pinion fence tablesaw, and was looking at the Ridgid saw (goes $300 on sale the last few years...and lists used for $300+, so no go there) for some diy cabinets in a few months, but that Dewalt fence seems like it'd be amazing on a rollaway saw.
