The robot is extremely dumb. Has never been able to get out to clean my apartment automatically. It also doesn't seem to be able to record the map and floor types.
The route it goes to clean also looks very inefficient to me.
The problem really isn't the mop function, Problem is there is on average an almost $200-300 premium on the self emptying ability.
If I empty the dust bin manually just to test I leave a good amount of residue on the inside bin surface (unless I wash it which I do sometimes). Whether or not this function is worth $200-300 is personal preference. I must say that emptying the dust bin is an extremely easy process.

Q7 is better for suction , not so for mopping.

That said, $330 for a bare Q7 Max seems like an amazing deal to me. A fully featured robot vac with LiDAR Navigation (minus advanced debris detection, no big deal) is a great deal if you're not too lazy to spend 5 minutes maintaining it after every run. To upgrade to a decent vac with full dock features like Dreametech L10s Ultra (#5 on vacuum wars list) you're looking at spending another $350, or more than double the price of this vac. So if I was on a budget and needed vac with mop, this would be a no brainer.
Also note, the dock it's compatible with is for dust removal only. Q7 itself doesn't have any auto refill or auto mop clean features built in. So you still have to clean mop and refill water tank. A moot point anyway since roborock is doing false advertising. Advertising this vac as compatible with their "Auto Empty Dock Pure" dock which must be purchased separately. Says so right on amazon page. Yet when you look it up, Roborock doesn't sell it. A bunch of sour customers on reddit who bought this vac under impression that it's upgradable and then found out through customer support that roborock doesn't sell the dock. Your only option is to find one used on eBay where a vac broke and they're selling the dock. I wouldn't buy dock anyway since if I still have to maintain water tank and mop after every run, may as well clean out the dust bin too.
Highly reviewed midrange vacuum-only option by Roborock. It's not gonna be clumsy bumbling around your apartment either. It has LiDAR navigation and roborock's app with advanced mapping features is some of the best in the industry. It's going to be very intelligent. You can place no go zones and invisible walls to keep it from trapping itself. It took me a few hours to tweak the map on my Q Revo, like placing a no-go zone around dining room table and doing invisible walls by doors so vacuum doesn't try to drive into garage when garage door is open for example.
Only thing midrange vacuums lack compared to high end ones is advanced obstacle avoidance. That's where there's debris on the floor that's below the LiDAR scanners height, so lower than 2 inches in height or so. Things like charging cords and legos and what not. Those things LiDAR won't pick up, since it's positioned on top of vacuum at least 2 inches off the ground. So you have to make sure you don't have small toys laying around or charging cables that are gonna get sucked into the roller and mess up your vac. A common one is a charger plugged into the wall with end of cable laying on floor. High end vacs have additional cameras and sensors up front which scan area directly down in front of vac and go around stuff laying on floor. But at this point you're looking at $700+ vacuums.
vacuum wars is a great source when looking into any vacuum:

EDIT: I noticed someone above suggested a Q7 Max+. That's another very well reviewed vacuum with excellent mopping capability. It's $500, so $135 more than Q5+ I suggested. But if you think there's a chance you use its mop function once in a while, then it could be worth additional $135 for this feature. Current vac mopping will not replace human mopping, it's not as good. But it's not nothing either, you see a difference, floor appears cleaner, just not as clean as it could've been if you mopped it yourself.

Yes. I've done all of those and more.
